teamHEALTH (train, employ, advance, mentor)

teamHEALTH is a Certified Nursing Assistant training and career laddering program, funded through a three-year community impact grant from the United Way of Rhode Island with additional support from the Ocean State Charity Trust, the Blanche Walsh Trust, and Northern Rhode Island Area Health Education Center (nriAHEC).

In its one and a half years of operation, the program has graduated and employed 94 Certified Nursing Assistants, and sponsored six people to become Certified Medication Technicians, 15 on a career path to Licensed Practical Nurses, and three to Registered Nurses.

In order to qualify for the FREE program, people must attend an informational session (see Events Listings for the next scheduled session), and go through an extensive pre-assessment and interview process.
